Wrexham Fencing Club is highly regarded as one of the most successful clubs in Wales. Established in 1992, over its 20 years is has grown into one of the most successful clubs in the North West of the Uk. Though dedicated to fencing and training of the highest standards, the Club has a great social atmosphere and the mix between competition fencers and social fencers has proven to be part of the reason why Wrexham has grown so well over the years. Wrexham Fencing Club is committed to bringing all people into the Sport of Fencing, whether male or female, young or old. With a range of fencers from fully-fledged internationals, through to absolute beginners, at Veterans, Senior and Junior levels, Wrexham has an extremely good track record of producing competition and club fencers. Though weather elite or social fencer, experienced, returning or complete beginner all are welcome. |

Wrexham Fencing Club main club night is on Friday Evenings (during the academic year, roughly September to June) at Clywedog Leisure and Activity Centre, Clywedog School, in two sessions:
The Junior Club – 6:00pm until 7:30pm
For ages between 8 and 13 years old.
The Senior Club – 7:45pm and 9:15pm
For anyone over the age of 13.
The club also has an Advanced Training night on Monday Evenings (during the academic year, roughly September to June) at Darland Leisure and Activity Centre, Darland School. (For more details click here)

Wrexham Currently has three coaches at club night, Mike Norfolk (Head Coach) Valerijs Shchipanovs (Professional Coach) and Steve Teggin (Coach), along with several experienced fencers currently undergoing their coaching awards. For more information on the coaching see Senior Club > Coaching
Over the last decade Wrexham Fencing Club has been more successful than it ever planned.
In 2008 Wrexham was nominated for the UK Sports Club of the year, although it did not Win, the club did finish in a more than respectable third, a result in which it is incredibly proud.
